Who Are We?
  • These competitions are offered to you by Box Television Limited. Our registered office is at 124 HORSEFERRY ROAD LONDON SW1P 2TX and our company registration number is 2643552.  Box Television Limited is the company that in these terms and conditions is called “we” or “us”.
  • Services operated by Box Television Limited are: 4Music, Smash Hits!, Magic, Kerrang!, Box, Q and Kiss (‘channels’)

What terms, conditions and rules apply to the competitions that I enter?
  • These terms and conditions apply to all competitions offered by us.  Any persons who breach them may be excluded from access to competitions. Please note that these terms and conditions apply to competitions that appear in box programming time and in commercial (i.e. advertising) airtime on our channels.
  • Competition closing time is Midnight on the closing date specified unless clearly stated as otherwise on screen.
  • However as each competition is different and operates in a different way, they will each have some terms and conditions that apply only to them. If so, these specific terms and conditions will be set out on-screen or otherwise made clear to you at the time you enter: for example, the cost of entry, the closing date, the number to call in order to enter and so on.  The following general terms also apply.
You must be a UK resident to enter a competition.

 

Free Prize Draws
Occasionally we run free prize draws. These draws do not require you to answer a question although you still need to text the shortcode publicised to enter the draw.
All of the terms and conditions for competitions set out before and after this section will still apply to our free prize draws, the only differences are with entry and pricing as explained in the following:  
How do I enter the free prize draw?
The sole means of entry to a free prize draw is by text message from your mobile.
The specific terms at the point of promotion will provide you with the relevant mobile shortcode to text.
How much will it cost me to enter the free prize draw?
Before you enter the competition, you will always be told clearly how much it will cost you.
Entry by text: You will be charged the cost of one standard rate text message from your mobile phone.
How do I pay to enter the free prize draw?
If you are a pre-pay mobile user, the charges will come out of your credit balance. If you pay periodic bills for your telephone, they will appear on your next bill or statement.
What if my entry is lost or damaged?

 

  • If we do not receive an entry from you for any competition then we cannot enter you, regardless of whether you sent the entry to us. Also, if we receive an entry from you that is illegible or incomplete or otherwise deficient we may not be able to enter you. We will not accept proof that an entry was sent as proof that we received it.
What can we do with any material you send us?
  • We will use any pictures, text or sound recordings that you send to us for the purpose of operating the relevant competition.
  • We may also use it for the purposes of promoting our business (for example by putting it on our television channels, mobile services and websites).
How will we use your personal details?
  • We will use your personal details to operate the competition that you are taking part in. Where we or other companies in our corporate group want to use your personal details for other purposes (such as marketing) we will offer you the opportunity to agree or to refuse this.
  • Your personal details will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy from time to time and in accordance with the law as it relates to people’s personal details.
How far are we liable or responsible to you?
  • Nothing in these terms and conditions removes or limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for any liability which cannot be limited or excluded by the law. These terms and conditions also do not affect the rights that are granted to you as a consumer by the law. Otherwise, we will not be liable to you for any matter relating to the competitions offered by us.
  • We will also not be liable to you if you suffer loss or inconvenience because of the failures of persons or systems that we do not directly control – for example, mobile phone network operators, internet service providers, software providers and telephone traffic handlers.
The legal position of these terms and conditions
  • These terms and conditions form a legally binding agreement between you and us. We reserve the right to change them and update them from time to time but if we do so we will post the changes on this websites.
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law unless you live in Scotland in which case Scottish law shall govern, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The main prize is an iPad 2 and a Gillette grooming kit which includes: x1 Fusion Manual Razor, x1 Gillette Series Energising Moisturiser 50ml, x1 Gillette Series Thermal Pre Shave Scrub 100ml, Gillette Series Conditioning Shave Gel 75ml
 
There will also be x10 runners up who will each win a Gillette grooming kit.

Max Factor Competition:

There are also 10 runners up who will each get a Max Factor mascara.
